Family Fun Race Day 2012
This year’s multi-generational Family Fun Race will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012. The "race" is open to all club members, their families and their guests.
The race is free, but a lift ticket
and a helmet are required for each racer.
We’ve been growing in the number of participants each of the last three years and have decided to expand the number of race award categories.

The Family Fun Race Awards Dinner
will be held on Saturday, March
3, following the race. The dinner is at Sequoia Woods Country Club
in
Blue Lake Springs, Arnold.
Appetizers and no-host bar begins at 5:30pm. Dinner
starts at 6:00pm, and includes pasta, salad, French bread, and
homemade cookies for dessert. The ski club will provide two
bottles of wine (one red and one white) for each table.
Dinner is $15.00 per person, including tax and tip. Kids under 5
are free.

Team Awards:
Generations Team: This is the heart and soul of the Family Fun Race. It is preferred that three related family members are on the same team but that is not always possible. As in past races, only 2 family members will be required but to more truly reflect the generational aspect of the team, the oldest and youngest racers must be separated by at least 40 years. If you can’t find a third team member, we will try to find one for you.
Open Team: This is a race after all, so form a team with your two fastest friends and go for the Gold!

Youngest Racer
Notes: A racer can participate on one Generations Team and one Open Team. The two timed runs will be used for both teams. No one can compete on two teams within a category.
Race sign-ups and forms: Email completed sign-up form to Barry at barrysig@comcast.net and bring the completed liability release forms on Saturday to the registration table in the Sun Room between 8:30am-10:00am.
Only ski club members and their guests are allowed to participate.
Non-members may
join BVSC the day of the race at the current membership fee.
Please sign-up early and continue your efforts to make it snow except on race day. West World Images will again be taking photographs of the race. I’m thinking about borrowing a speed suit so at least I can look fast!
